Treatments offered

 All laser hair removal procedures are performed in a doctor's office. We  have the latest equipment, and offer complete privacy and  confidentiality. If there is any question that a candidate might not  benefit from laser hair removal, we may recommend electrolysis instead. 

The Gentlelase Laser

 The Gentlelase Laser, a revolutionary long pulse high energy  alexandrite laser system, emits a gentle beam of light that passes  through the skin to the hair follicle where it is absorbed. The laser  energy is transformed into heat, which can disable the follicle, leaving  the surrounding skin unchanged. The skin is further protected during  treatment by a dynamic cooling process where a cryogen is sprayed onto  the skin cooling the upper layers providing patients increased comfort.  This selectivity helps to protect the skin while effectively treating  the unwanted hair. The GentleYAG Laser

Other hair removal lasers can not always be used effectively on well-tanned or darker skin. The GentleYAG system can uniquely remove unwanted body hair on all skin types without damaging the delicate pores and structures of the skin. Facial and bikini areas are usually  completed in less than ten minutes; legs, backs and larger areas can  take longer.


A small handpiece will be used that touches the skin to deliver the laser light. Cryogen spray will cool the skin just before each laser  pulse.


Electrolysis

Electrolysis works well on all skin and hair colors, including blonde and grey hair.


Electrolysis involves a very fine probe inserted into each unwanted hair  follicle. Then an electrical impulse cauterizes the blood vessels and  destroys the hair's ability to grow. The hair is released from its  follicle and permanently removed.


Many patients describe the sensation as a "twinge" or a "zap," which is  over very quickly. Sensitivity varies with each person and depends on  the area being treated. Your own sensitivity can change from day to day  due to mood and menstrual changes. The electrologist can help by  adjusting treatment levels and timings to make the procedure more comfortable.


In our practice, we use both the short-wave and blend treatment methods.  Your tolerance will vary with each method. The utmost care is given to  individualize each treatment to the patient's special need.


Our office uses pre-sterilized, disposable probes. Tweezers are  steam-sterilized in a surgical autoclave. It is a proven, effective  method for sterilizing all surgical and electrology instruments.

We can also add PRP to your treatment.  PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy for hair loss is a three-step medical treatment in which a patient’s blood is drawn, processed, and then injected into the scalp 

Photofacial

 A photofacial (foto facial) is a skin treatment that uses a light-based technology to boost collagen, lighten brown spots, and diminish broken capillaries.
